What is?... Freeze framing beautiful for all time. Simple answer, but... Taking that one moment to capture the beauty of a model and what she shares with the lens, and freezing it as is, for all to appreciate, ponder over, and enjoy today, tomorrow, 5 years from now, 100 years from now, yep, that's pretty damned cool. Well, that's my first answer. Second answer, and one I personally enjoy, one I've been lucky enough to see in a couple of models. That moment, during a shoot or during the image selection after the shoot, when an amateur model, who for whatever reason just doesn't quite see or feel her own beauty and power... And to get to capture it between frames, when you see it in her eyes, and all of a sudden in her presence, it hits her like lightning... "I am woman, I am beauty, I am power"... It's a real joy to witness that transformation from "meh, a little shy" to "ok, I think I see me", and it's a thrill to see "I think I see me" change to "SEE ME ROAR"! That's the coolest part of photographing models, when the shoot goes from "very nice pose, hold that" to "oh snap, THERE she is" literally between frames, Yea, feel free to carry that confidence with you the rest of your life beautiful. On another note: It is always nice to see an experienced model rock the hell out of a shoot too. She had that "I am beautiful" moment at one point too, and to see her rock that out in a shoot... yea, way cool.
